Conduct Disorders
These persons lack social adjustment and poor development of moral standards.
Conduct disorders are found in the following forms:
1. Psychopathic personality
2. Professional criminals
3. Juvenile delinquents
4. Sexual perverts
5. Drug addicts
It is a different category
1. No neurotic or psychotic reaction against stress
2. Stable personality but some deviated behavior
3. Immaturity & weakness with reference to healthy social and normal values
4. Thinking , feeling, perception becomes anti-social, immoral
5. They are different from mentally handicapped as they have normal or higher intelligence. They feel safe as they know how to keep themselves away from legal.
6. The ego is stronger but faulty superego development. Superego is weak and immature.
7. There is no personality disorganization. They are also known as character disorder.
Psychopathic personality
· They are hedonistic, impulsive & anti-social
· He is not afraid of punishment
· He has no guilt
Symptomatology
§ Very good in interpersonal behavior, talk very sweet, leave good impression in the first meeting
§ Outward behavior: very sweet, courteous but inward: they are very cunning, selfish.

1. Externally attractive & good intelligence
2. No delusions
3. Impulsive but no neurotic abnormality
4. Absence of sympathy & reliability
5. Absence of shame and guilt
6. Anti-social motive is highly active
7. They don’t get benefit from past experiences

Ø Probable biological factors but results are inconclusive
Ø Role of socializing agencies , friend circle, faulty life style
Ø Psychological causes: Depression, argumentative, compulsive
Ø Disobey social taboos and limits
Treatment
· Experienced psycho/behavior therapist
· Burnt coal, self treated after 50
· No treatment is effective
· Reconstruction of personality (Carl Rogers client therapy)
Professional Criminals
· Offender: knowingly breaks the law of the land.
· Training and motivation: He does not perceive himself as an offender, criminal or murderer
· Accuses social system
· No impact of imprisonment
· Psychopathic Criminal: they commit crime to get punished. (In the past because of some crime their superego invokes them).
Other Crimes
1. Treason: very serious offence, spying for enemy country, planning against own country and the result is death sentence
2. Felony: murder, murder-dacoit, rape etc. (Death/ Life sentence)
3. Misdemeanor: Theft, foul selling, grumbling
